Ellie
Ellie was born on August 30th, 2018.
Ellie is a registered Rottweiler with the ACA and was purchased by her original owner from a breeder. She was surrendered with her papers and certified pedigree and so a DNA test for her was not needed.
Ellie lived with her original owner until the age of 4 when she was attacked, unprovoked, by another large dog which put her in the hospital. Her long recovery period and owner's failing health made it difficult for the owner to care for her. After a second attack from the same dog in her neighborhood, the owner was unable to cover the costs of the medical treatment and provide care for her during potential recovery. Her situation was brought to our attention and considering the promising outcome of recovery, we stepped in to take over her care.

Ellie made a full recovery and has since completed a confidence building bootcamp to bring her back to her former self and restore her faith in her handler being able to protect her. She's also completed a full obedience training program with advanced training.
Ellie is in good health and up to date on vaccinations. She was chipped and spayed prior to our taking over her care. Her latest weigh in was 68 lbs.
Ellie is house trained, crate trained and has advanced obedience.
She has a variety of commands and would love to show them off to you!
Despite her history with other animals, Ellie is neutral to most dogs and cats. She is still selective to overbearing temperament so a meet-n-greet would be necessary with any potential pack mate.

Ellie is great with all people and with children of all ages.
​
While she is a very happy girl with a playful personality, she requires minimal exercise and just loves to be with people. Her activity of choice is cuddling on the couch or going for short walks so she would even do well in an apartment. However, she'd be an excellent hiking buddy for anyone in need of one and loves being outdoors as well.
