Gretel
Gretel's birthday is unknown but she is estimated to be about 4 years old. We are planning on doing a test soon to confirm her age.
Gretel's DNA test revealed that she is 74% Belgian Malinois, 7% Dogue de Bordeaux, 6% Rottweiler, 6% Neapolitan Mastiff, 5% Cane Corso, 1% Boxer and 1% German Shepherd. View her Wisdom Panel Results for more information!
Gretel was found wandering the streets of Las Vegas with another one of our residents (Hansel) during the summer of 2022 when temps were already in the triple digits. Her paws were so severely burned that she had exposed nerves and it took many months to heal. We spent almost a year searching for her family without any luck.

With our help, she received the medical care she needed and a safe space to rest and recover without being separated from her stray-mate Hansel.
​
We've since had her spayed, vaccinated, chipped and have provided basic training.
Gretel is in good health and up to date on vaccinations. She was chipped and spayed in April of 2023. Her latest weigh in was 80 lbs.
Gretel is house trained, crate trained and has basic obedience.
She knows sit, down and stay.
Gretel is bonded with her stray-mate Hansel and it would be ideal to have them find a furever home together. However, we are willing to separate for the right family. She loves being with people and would be happy to do everything from hiking to cuddling on the couch.

Gretel has been great with all people and dogs of all sizes. A cat tolerance test still needs to be completed.
