Nina was in boarding while her owner spent time moving into a new home. Her family reached out to let the boarder know that they would not be taking her back. Local shelters were at critical capacity and the shepherd rescues contacted were not taking in new dogs. We stepped in to help this poor girl and Nina became part of the Misfit Family in November of 2020. She has been provided medical care, nutritional testing, diet evaluation, nutritionist support, age testing, basic training, advanced training and some much needed love.

We quickly realized the age provided by the original family was not accurate and age testing determined her to be 3 years older than previously thought. Nina is up to date on vaccinations, chipped and spayed. Nina arrived with severe food and environmental allergies, which impacted the health of her urinary system, GI system, Skin/Coat and joints.

Nina is house trained, crate trained and has advance obedience training.

Nina's medical condition requires her to have daily medication, monthly visits with a veterinarian, routine testing for medication adjustments, a special diet and regular visits with a clinical pet nutritionist.

While some days are harder for her than others, she is a very happy girl with a large group of furfriends who are eager to keep her spirits up. Nina loves to play ball and play with her friends but belly rubs and cuddling on the couch are also at the top of her list of favorite things to do.

Because of Nina's medical and dietary needs, she is a resident of the Misfit Ranch Sanctuary so all of her needs can be met without the worry. She is happy to be home and appreciates your support.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Misfit Ranch online and for reading about our girl Nina.
