Rescue efforts have been underway and successful for years but ranch development is currently in progress for the purpose of expansion so more dogs who are facing euthanasia can be saved.
Misfit Ranch has a three stage development plan and is operational during its initial relocation/expansion stage in an effort to continue its assistance for current rescues without interruption. With that in mind, the family is at max capacity and is in urgent need of help from the community to avoid turning dogs away who desperately need their help.
The founding family has taken in many dogs over the years that were in need of homes and provided them with medical care, spay/neuter, rehabilitation, training and forever home placement without passing the cost on to the new families or seeking donations from the community.

Most of the dogs who came to the family were turned away by other professionals or had special needs that could not be accommodated elsewhere and were facing euthanasia. These dogs wouldn’t be thriving and providing joy to their new families today without the help they received. Some of these dogs were rescued from abusive situations and are still currently with the Misfit Ranch family receiving care today.

The family is thankful to have been able to help all the dogs they have on their own but they've run out of space and resources. In order to continue to help these dogs in desperate need of care and compassion, they need help from members of the dog loving community who are able.

Misfit Ranch has personally invested in the purchase of a 50 acre piece of property located just outside the Las Vegas valley. Low-impact flooring (for the training, indoor play area and exercise/physical therapy room planned for the ranch), multiple refrigerators/freezers and a dishwasher for the nutrition center, high-capacity sanitation washers/dryers for the laundry center, multiple dog kennels and more have been purchased by the family as well.

Canine care, nutrition, medical, training, education and groundskeeper teams have graciously volunteered their time to the ranch once relocation is complete.
Now that the land has been acquired fundraising efforts for the development of canine housing, a nutrition office and kitchen, the medical clinic, utilities, a socialization and training center, caretaker's quarters and more are underway!
Ranch development plans would allow the Misfit family and volunteer teams to help more dogs in need and provide permanent homes and medical care for those who need it most.
The Misfit Ranch team has a three-stage expansion plan that is currently in progress and dependent on community support.
STAGE ONE - in progress

Construction of main kennel building, medical building, nutrition building, play yard, training building, storage buildings and living quarters for the volunteer teams. Establish utilities. Obtain a second transport vehicle.
STAGE TWO

​Construction of a cattery, coop, barn and parlor for the purpose of expanding our service to assist abused, neglected and abandoned cats, goats, chickens, pigs and more! The addition of these animals to the ranch is highly beneficial to the dogs in our care and we're excited to expand our services for this reason.
STAGE THREE

​Construction of a comprehensive training center, dock diving center and education center where the community can come to get help with their own dogs and learn about dog training, dog sports, dog nutrition and more!
